Melanie + Rosh – No Ordinary Love (Welcome & Ceremony)

When Duty Calls!

It was a typical Monday afternoon when we received a text from Melanie (Mel) who was starting to panic about her destination wedding.  She and her fiancé Rosh had previously booked their nuptials at a resort in the Dominican Republic.   Due to extenuating circumstances, they needed to change the location right away and start all over again.   Furthermore, the majority of their guests had also booked their rooms.  As a result, our team would be responsible for easing this transition for the the couple AND their 100-guest travel party!  Mel asked if we could help, and course, we were up for the challenge.

Welcome!

Fast forward one year, and we were jet-setting to the gorgeous island of Jamaica to produce their fabulous real wedding celebration.  Mel and Rosh started thing off with a casual meet and greet at the gorgeous Moon Palace Jamaica Grande.  While dining on island fare and sipping Caribbean cocktails, our guests admired their custom welcome bags that Rosh said “blew away the other couples” bags (lol).  We even made sure to slip in some survival kits for those who might need them.

I Do!

After a full day of set-up on Saturday, Sunday featured hours of rain that that threatened to dampen the wedding festivities.  Nevertheless, our vendors worked tirelessly throughout the morning and afternoon to prepare while our bride and groom prepped at the resort, oblivious to the storm that was showers falling on our end of St. Ann Parish.  Thankfully, the skies cleared and the sun appeared about an hour and a half before ceremony time.  As guests arrived to the ceremony site, the evening sun dried everything, and it was like the rain had never happened!  What came next was the most unforgettable ceremony overlooking the Caribbean Sea (and a hi-la-rious vow performance by our groom!).  PER-FEC-TION.   Take a moment to relive Mel and Rosh’s gorgeous day through these images, and stay tuned for our sequel post!
