Following a breathtaking ceremony and tranquil cocktail hour just before sunset, the new Mr. and Mrs. Handley shared an evening of dinner and dancing under the Caribbean sky with 100 of their closest family members and friends under a clear-top tent that transformed the once plain North Lawn at Laughing Waters.
Floral
Melanie was all about blush and white, and her florals did not disappoint. The royal tables featured stunning pave combinations of roses, orchids, and hydrangeas with tulips hung all around, set atop tall white vases, while guest tables were adorned with unique groupings of glass and mercury candle holders, miniature compotes and bubble bud vases containing phalaenopsis orchid stems. Both looks were set against white table linens, and accented by gold beaded chargers, and brooch-held bowtie napkins.
Food
For dinner, guests enjoyed a three-course meal of island favorites for guests to devour, while White Hennessey cocktails dominated the requests at the Handley bar throughout the night. Other yummy items included vanilla and buttercream wedding cake, red velvet cupcakes, Harley-themed cookies in honor of the Groom and his beloved bike club, and authentic Chicago mix take-home popcorn for guests to enjoy on the ride back to the hotel.
Fun
Throughout the night, the Handley reception rocked to the beats of DJ Frances Jaye, best known for rocking stages with Erykah Badu. From start to finish, Frances brought the energy, and she never let up!
What an amazing experience! To this day, Mel and Rosh are some of our biggest fans, and we are theirs, too! We hope you enjoy reliving their reception as much as we have!
